Indicator showing whether the borrower or applicant already exists in the CredPro or related credit-processing system. It supports workflow continuity, deduplication, and customer record matching.
Is CredPro Customer is a system indicator used to identify whether the borrower already has a record in the credit platform. In MSME lending operations, this helps avoid duplicate customer creation, mismatched applications, and fragmented history across branches or products. For example, an existing borrower applying for enhancement or renewal should ideally be linked to the earlier customer record rather than being created as a new customer. This field matters because accurate record linkage supports exposure aggregation, previous conduct review, document reuse, and audit trails. It is not a credit-quality measure by itself. The common caution is to match using reliable identifiers such as CIF, PAN, GSTIN, registered name, and mobile/email details instead of relying only on spelling or manual selection.
