Indicates whether a value, decision, classification, amount, or condition is provisional and subject to confirmation. It helps separate final approved data from working assumptions.
Is Tentative marks information that is not yet final and may change after verification, approval, documentation, or updated data. In MSME credit workflows, tentative values may include proposed limits, provisional financials, indicative collateral values, draft eligibility, or conditions awaiting confirmation. For example, a valuation amount may be marked tentative until the approved valuer’s final report is received. This field matters because underwriters and approvers should know which inputs are confirmed and which are still assumptions. It prevents accidental reliance on draft information during sanction or disbursement. The common mistake is to leave tentative values unchanged even after final data arrives; every tentative tag should have an owner, source, expected closure date, and final update.
