Facility that has been transferred, converted, renewed, taken over, or continued from an earlier arrangement. It helps distinguish new exposure from existing or migrated credit history.
Migrated or Existing Facility identifies a credit facility that already existed and has been transferred, renewed, converted, or moved into the current system or lender relationship. In MSME lending, this may occur during balance transfer, system migration, account restructuring, product conversion, or renewal. For example, a working-capital limit taken over from another bank should be assessed with previous conduct, closure proof, outstanding amount, and existing security details. This field matters because migrated facilities carry history that should not be ignored during appraisal and monitoring. The common caution is to capture original sanction terms, outstanding balance, repayment conduct, collateral continuity, and any pending obligations so the facility is not treated as a clean new loan.
