Change observed due to movement between systems, lenders, risk grades, product categories, borrower classifications, or facility status. It should specify old value, new value, and reason.
Migration Change records movement from one status, category, system, product, grade, or lender arrangement to another. In MSME credit operations, migration may relate to risk grade changes, product conversion, customer data migration, takeover cases, restructuring, or portfolio classification. For example, a borrower may migrate from a manual score to a model-based score, or from another bank’s facility to an internal loan account. This change matters because old and new records must be reconciled to avoid data loss, duplicate exposure, or incorrect monitoring. The common caution is to capture both previous and revised values, effective date, source, approval basis, and whether the change affects pricing, limits, documentation, or reporting.
