Portion of long-term debt on which interest is payable, including term loans, debentures, vehicle loans, equipment finance, or other funded obligations beyond the short term.
Long Term Debt - Interest bearing represents borrowings repayable over a longer period that carry interest cost. In MSME financial analysis, this usually includes term loans for machinery, property, vehicles, expansion, or other funded assets. It is important for understanding leverage, repayment burden, interest coverage, and long-term financial commitments. For example, a borrower may show healthy working-capital conduct but have multiple equipment loans that reduce future cash-flow comfort. This figure matters for DSCR, debt-equity analysis, and assessment of additional borrowing capacity. The common caution is to separate interest-bearing debt from non-interest-bearing liabilities and to verify repayment schedules, outstanding balance, security, and lender details from loan statements.
